{"id":294204,"date":"2024-10-19T19:59:59","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T19:59:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bsi-20-30396039-dc-2020\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T17:13:07","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T17:13:07","slug":"bsi-20-30396039-dc-2020","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bsi-20-30396039-dc-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"BSI 20\/30396039 DC 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document specifies the technical delivery requirements for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>semi-finished products, hot formed, e.g. blooms, billets, slabs (see NOTE&nbsp;1),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>bars (see NOTE&nbsp;1),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>wire rod,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>finished flat products, and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hammer or drop forgings (see NOTE&nbsp;1)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>manufactured from the case-hardening non-alloy or alloy steels listed in <span class=\"xref\">Table&nbsp;3<\/span> and supplied in one of the heat-treatment conditions given for the different types of products in <span class=\"xref\">Table&nbsp;1<\/span> and in one of the surface conditions given in <span class=\"xref\">Table&nbsp;2<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The steels are, in general, intended for the manufacture of case-hardened machine parts.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;1\n <\/div>\n<p>Hammer-forged semi-finished products (blooms, billets, slabs, etc.), seamless rolled rings and hammer-forged bars are covered under semi-finished products or bars and not under the term \u201chammer and drop forgings\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;2\n <\/div>\n<p>For International Standards relating to steels complying with the requirements for the chemical composition in <span class=\"xref\">Table&nbsp;3<\/span>, however, supplied in other product forms or treatment conditions than given above or intended for special applications, and for other related International Standards, see the Bibliography.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In special cases, variations in these technical delivery requirements or additions to them can form the subject of an agreement at the time of enquiry and order (see <span class=\"xref\">5.2<\/span> and <span class=\"xref\">Annex&nbsp;A<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this document, the general technical delivery requirements of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;404<\/span><\/span> are applicable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS EN ISO 683-3.
