This British Standard specifies a system of designating the sizes of children\u2019s and infants\u2019 garments that are classified as:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. covering the upper body only, or<\/li>\n
  2. covering the lower body only, or<\/li>\n
  3. covering the whole body.1)<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Both the control dimensions on which the size designation system is based, and the method of indicating the size designation on a garment label, are specified.<\/p>\n

    It is recognized that height is the basic control measurement for all infants\u2019 and children\u2019s garments and to aid users of this standard agreed height intervals are included.<\/p>\n
