They apply when vehicle ride comfort properties are determined, unless other conditions are required by the standard which is actually used for the test method.<\/p>\n<p>This document is applicable to passenger cars as defined in <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;3833<\/span><\/span> and light trucks.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE\n <\/div>\n<p>The general conditions defined in existing vehicle dynamics standards are valid until a reference to this document is included.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This document is cited in many other standards without a dated reference.
