{"id":695305,"date":"2024-11-06T05:39:21","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T05:39:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/can-ulc-s559-13-r2018\/"},"modified":"2024-11-06T05:39:21","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T05:39:21","slug":"can-ulc-s559-13-r2018","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/ulc\/can-ulc-s559-13-r2018\/","title":{"rendered":"CAN ULC-S559-13 (R2018)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Standard covers requirements for fire signal receiving centres and systems, which include transmitting and receiving equipment, proprietary fire signal receiving centre equipment and control unit accessories for use in accordance with the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>CAN\/ULC-S524, Installation of Fire Alarm Systems;<\/li>\n<li>CAN\/ULC-S561, Standard for the Installation and Services for Fire Signal Receiving Centres and Systems;<\/li>\n<li>CAN\/ULC S1981 Ed. 1 \u2013 Standard for Signal Receiving Centre Automation System;<\/li>\n<li>CSA-22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part l, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations; and<\/li>\n<li>Figure 1.1, Typical Arrangement of Equipment for Fire Signal Receiving Centres and Systems.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Proprietary fire alarm systems incorporating the features and functions of a fire alarm system, and\/or incorporating transponders of distributed type systems, shall be in accordance with the requirements of CAN\/ULC-S527, Standard for Control Units for Fire Alarm Systems.<\/p>\n<p>\nEquipment covered by the scope of this Standard incorporating the features and functions of a fire alarm system, shall be in accordance with the requirements of CAN\/ULC-S527, Standard for Control Units for Fire Alarm Systems.<\/p>\n<p>\nThese requirements cover fire signal receiving centre systems, including protected premise unit and receiver for ordinary (non-hazardous) indoor and outdoor locations.<\/p>\n<p>\nChanges or additions to the equipment covered by the scope of this Standard shall be tested according to the relevant sections of this Standard.
