One<br \/>\nprocedure covers airborne dust above 5 \u03bcm. The other (and newly<br \/>\nadded procedure) covers particles of 25 \u03bcm and larger that<br \/>\n&#034;fall out&#034; of the environment onto surfaces. In each case<br \/>\nthe particles are sized in the longest dimension and counted.<br \/>\nAirborne particles are reported as particles per cubic meter (cubic<br \/>\nfoot) whereas particles collected in fall out samples are reported<br \/>\nas particles per 0.1 square meter (square foot).
