This European Standard specifies the dimensions and physical properties of a range of tensional steel strapping used to secure, close or strengthen packages and to band unit loads. The types of tensional steel strapping covered by this European Standard and their characteristics are listed in Table 1.Tolerances and tensile strengths for flat strip and round, oval and flat wire strapping for general packaging purposes and also tolerances and tensile strengths and joint strength for flat strip for lifting purposes.
