This Technical Information Paper (TIP) provides general procedures for start-up and shut-down of Yankee hood air systems. This TIP does not include guidelines for start-up or shut-down of Yankee cylinders. Information regarding this may be found in Guidelines for Safe Assessment and Operation of Yankee Dryers, which is available from TAPPI.
