The dry matter is determined according to <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;15934<\/span><\/span> .<\/p>\n<p>This method applies to the determination of loss on ignition of sediment, sludge, treated biowaste, soil and waste.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE\n <\/div>\n<p>The loss on ignition is often used as an estimate for the content of organic matter in the sample.
