{"id":634350,"date":"2024-11-06T00:47:14","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T00:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/iso-iec-22237-12021\/"},"modified":"2024-11-06T00:47:14","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T00:47:14","slug":"iso-iec-22237-12021","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/iso\/iso-iec-22237-12021\/","title":{"rendered":"ISO\/IEC 22237-1:2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>This document:<\/p>\n<p>a) describes the general principles for data centres upon which the requirements of the ISO\/IEC22237 series are based;<\/p>\n<p>b) defines the common aspects of data centres including terminology, parameters and reference models (functional elements and their accommodation) addressing both the size and complexity of their intended purpose;<\/p>\n<p>c) describes general aspects of the facilities and infrastructures required to support data centres;<\/p>\n<p>d) specifies a classification system, based upon the key criteria of \u201cavailability\u201d, \u201csecurity\u201d and \u201cenergy-efficiency\u201d over the planned lifetime of the data centre, for the provision of effective facilities and infrastructure;<\/p>\n<p>e) details the issues to be addressed in a business risk and operating cost analysis enabling application of the classification of the data centre;<\/p>\n<p>f) provides a reference to the operation and management of data centres.<\/p>\n<p>The following topics are outside of the scope of the ISO\/IEC\u00a022237 series:<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 the selection of information technology and network telecommunications equipment, software and associated configuration issues are outside the scope of this International Standard;<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 quantitative analysis of overall service availability resulting from multi-site data centres;<\/p>\n<p>3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements (covered by other standards and regulations.
