Over the last two decades, the use<br \/>\nof CP coupons has been rediscovered as a practical<br \/>\nmethod to determine the level of polarization of a buried<br \/>\nstructure and to confirm the voltage drop in a potential<br \/>\nmeasurement. Acceptance of CP coupon technology is<br \/>\nslowly occurring. Research sponsored by the pipeline<br \/>\nindustry has explored the use of CP coupons and has<br \/>\nhelped validate the use of this technology.
