{"id":265490,"date":"2024-10-19T17:42:38","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T17:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bsi-19-30379159-dc\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T13:40:03","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T13:40:03","slug":"bsi-19-30379159-dc","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bsi-19-30379159-dc\/","title":{"rendered":"BSI 19\/30379159 DC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document specifies the minimum requirements for solid thimbles made of steel or cast iron for terminations of stranded steel wire ropes.<\/p>\n<p>This document is applicable to ferrule-secured terminations with solid thimbles in combination with ferrules according to <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;13411-3<\/span><\/span>, that have an efficiency factor K<sub>T<\/sub> of at least 0,9, and to spliced terminations with solid thimbles according to <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;13411-2<\/span><\/span>, that have an efficiency factor K<sub>T<\/sub> of at least 0,8, which are used as accessories for steel wire ropes, such as slings or wire rope assemblies, having a lifting, lowering or load-bearing effect in hoisting equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of designs of solid thimbles are given in informative <span class=\"xref\">Annex&nbsp;B<\/span>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<span class=\"xref\">C<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Round thimbles are not subject to this document.<\/p>\n<p>This document is applicable to ferrule-secured terminations that are manufactured after the date of publication of this document.<\/p>\n<p>Hazards that are dealt with in this document are listed in <span class=\"xref\">Clause&nbsp;4<\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS EN 13411-9.
