This standard covers 3- to 48-in. (76- to 1,219-mm) gray-iron and\/or ductile-iron fittings to be used with ductile-iron pipe for water. Requirements for fittings with mechanical joints and flanged joints are listed in Tables 1 through 20 at the end of this standard. This standard may also be used for fittings with push-on joints or such other joints as may be agreed on at the time of purchase.<\/p>\n
