It supersedes the previous edition published in 1998 as CAN\/CSA-C871-2, Shunt capacitors for a.c. power systems having a rated voltage above 660 V \u2014 Part 2: Endurance testing (adopted CEI\/IEC 871-2:1987).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This Technical Specification was reviewed for Canadian adoption by the CSA Technical Committee on Shunt Power Capacitors, under the jurisdiction of the Strategic Steering Committee on Power Engineering and Electromagnetic Compatibility, and has been formally approved by the Technical Committee. A list of the members of the Technical Committee is available upon request.
